sway bar upgrade - bushings too?
** Inadvertent Duplicate Post, please delete **
Converting my non-ZSP suspension to ZSP springs, Koni FSD's and front sway. Since I'm replacing the sway bar anyway would a sway bar bushing upgrade make sense there too (Powerflex? M3? something else?). The ZSP sway has about 10,000 miles on it so the bushings are in pristine shape. Thanks, Howard

An interesting project. Kick back & think on it: How you gonna remove old bushings; install on new bar? 10k mi bushings should be fine. . Last edited by CALWATERBOY; 11-13-2012 at 11:15 AM. |

That depends if you are getting a larger diameter bar? If you are, then your stock bushings won't fit on the new bar anyway. Typically, most aftermarket swaybar sellers include new bushings with the bar, so you don't have to worry about it.

I'm just replacing non-ZSP with ZSP and the OEM ZSP sway bar I bought gently used came with the bushings. So I don't *have to* use different ones. I'm just wondering whether aftermarket (or M3, if they will fit) will be worth it.

Stiffer bushings will reduce ride quality, but will improve response in handling. So that is for you to decide ![]()
