radio/audio/car/parking sensors cutting out - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I don't remember going over a big pothole recently but i've managed to crack one of my alloys and around about the same time the radio/mp3/parking sensors keep on cutting out. The power doesn't go off on the stereo, I just lose the sound intermittently and i've also noticed that the sound for the parking sensors cuts out at the same time.

Any ideas what could be going on? Loose connection or something worse?

Also, what's the opinion on repairing cracked alloys, it's only a minor crack but would it be ok to repair or best to just get another?

if it hasn't flattened the alloy it should be safe to have it welded. Get it checked out by a specialist, ideally one with a personal recommendation.

re audio, it sounds fairly like a loose connection or short, rather than anything terminal. Again would need to get behind the head unit to be sure ..

Do you have standard HU, hi-fi / logic 7 sound system?

yeah, standard head unit, it says BMW professional on it
