Cheapest Insurance Quote

I'll start this one off. What is the cheapest insurance that you guys have managed to find for your car? I renewed yesterday, fully comp with protected no claims on an E91 320D M Sport, Swinton insurance £234 for 12 months. Scarcely believable!! I'm sure that someone on here will have me beaten though.

Criag, that is unbelievable.

Do you mind sharing your age and NCB as well?

Thanks Craig.
I have to pay 4-5 times more than yours with 4 years NCB. Adding my wife contributed positively but it is still 4 times than yours.

I heard that they are terminating the gender discrimination at the end of this year, which means increased premiums for women and 'decreased' premiums for men (if that is true).

That's even more astounding on a modified 335D. Which insurance company are you with?

Makkan, that's quite a bit, presumably you are a little younger than me though? I'm not sure how much difference it will make next year with the gender discrimination thing though. No doubt things will get more expensive £240!!!! )

well i just went through the war with insurance companies this month as it was renewal time.

I've been with tesco for nearly 12 years and have been a loyal customer. Someone drove into ME this year, as a full no fault claim, and their quote went up on renewal by almost £300. They were already charging too much, but this was the final straw!!

They wanted £889 a year for a 325i (i'm 31 and have 5 years NCD and no offences)

So i called them up, they wouldnt budge a penny, said i already had their best price.

Went online to direct line (who amazingly, use the same insurance framework, UK Insurance Ltd) and they quoted me £354 a year fully comp with only £150 excess.

So, i went with that!!! tesco were taking the pi ss, no question about that. Its highly amusing though, that the paperwork i received from direct line, looks identical to all my tesco paperwork in both layout and style. Even the wording. So can only imagine tesco are re-selling direct line insurance and looking to make a big cut on it.

now paying almost half as much per month as i was last year!

Not an e9x but I paid £240 in May for my Z4 3.0 with mods. 36 with zero no claims on that policy as the NCB is on the other car.

I've just started a new policy paying £460 on my E92 335i.

I'm 31, living in Manchester and have 9yrs no claims. That's with AXA. My renewal quote was £1090 with Aviva!

I've been thinking about getting a 125d and the quote from my current insurer was £230. I thought that was not bad considering the cars value of around £29k.

mine went up from last yr like 100 pounds .

got a choice of renewing it in january or, selling the car.

As i want to get a diesel 335d or 330d e92/93 next yr.

checked insurance for the 335d 07/08, it came up too 1100, fully comp:

I'm 32 and paying about 660 for full coverage a year. I'm still working on how to get a rate lower than that. I'm contemplating about changing insurance companies and have a bundle coverage with my house, still waiting for the quote though.

Best I could get was 1700!! That's down from 2300 last year...
5 years NCB, but I do have 3 points for an SP30

What's more amazing is that a friend of mine, same age, managed to get insured on a 745i for under a grand! He didn't even have a NCB!

Jusy got my documents though from Greenlight...£640 fully comp with no-claims protected on my 335i with plenty of mods. Covers all mods on a like for like basis, was paying over £1k with Admiral on a policy which would only replace mods with stock parts....infact my wife's boring Civic diesel is only £100 less to insure
