Jb+ on 2007 e92 help can tool bt tool?

Hi everyone, I'm new to BMW tuning and this forum. I've been trying to research this can tool or bt tool.

I just bought the car used but purchased a extended warranty that is pretty much like a factory warranty and was wondering if I ever have and issue do I need to use a can tool or bt tool to clear codes?

I've saw that can tool is only avail for 2008+ so does that mean I don't need to clear codes or something? ...maybe I could just say I didn't know that was in there when I bought the car too...since I didn't buy it from a BMW store but also I asked the service shop where I bought it, that if something did go wrong they couldn't fix it they would contract it out to a BMW shop/dealer.

Also I've got it set at 75% ...do I need to or have to do that by pass thing?

Thanks in advance

The CanTool does not work on the 2007.

Above 50% there is a potential a code will be thrown.

Thanks mike...do you know if I need to clear codes and remove the JB if I'm going to get warranty work done even though no engine lights have come on?

there may be shadow code stored, if you worry much, buy a code clearing tool and scan it before you take the car to dealership. just play safe, i would take out all the tune when hitting the dealership.

I just picked up a used JB+. I'm assuming I can knock out two birds with one stone, if I pick up an K+DCAN cable for coding, and use INPA to clear any possible errors? Will INPA pick up and clear tuner codes?
