I'll find out first hand in a week or so when I go to install mine. I'll let you know what I find out if nobody else chimes in before then.

Just got done installing my intercooler (Helix 5.5 in core) and taking some measurements. A 6 in core intercooler would fit without any problems (just a little trimming of plastics), even possibly up to 6.5 in, but a 7 in core would not fit without modification to the Active Cruse mounting bracket. I'll post up some pics showing the bracket and space available a little later when I get cleaned up and get them off my camera.

Which should NEVER BE TOUCHED. There is a very expensive aiming/setup jig for the ACC sensor to prevent you from ramming cars or worse, a smaller target such as a motorcycle. I was warned against messing with the ACC sensor in a BMW class last year. Body shops have to have that setup tool to ensure proper aiming of the sensor after a front impact.

I have the 5" ETS IC installed and it looks like there is plenty of room. I'll try to post a picture.

There's about 1 1/2 inches space between my intercooler and the back of the sensor, but only about 1 inch space from the mounting bracket. Given that, a 6 1/2 inch intercooler is about all you could safely fit, and it would be a very tight fit.
I agree that modification of the sensor mount shouldn't be tried, but it would be needed if you really really wanted a 7 inch core to fit.
