just would like to see if anyone on here has or know anyone who has done this? what was it like fitting parts ect is basicly plug and play with things like wings bumpers ect? i understand exhaust mayb a bit tricky? i would most likely be using oem parts as they aint to bad price wise on ebay ect.. altho would like to hear if anyone has used replica parts and how that went. all comments welcome thanks.. |

My opinion is building a replica is time consuming and expensive. I've spent money on cars in the past and you just end up losing thousands, plus what you'd usually lose in depreciation anyway.
My thoughts are buy the best car you can with the money you have and save towards getting a proper m3.

To be honest...I personally don't like replica M3s or any replica car in-fact. If its not an M3, its best to keep it not trying to look like one. You could probably spend less on the right mods on your car and make it look even better then an M3 and it would be tastefully modded. It will also be very costly and most of them aren't done perfect enough, don't line up properly, fittings slightly off etc. BTW not just saying that because I have an M3...thats just my view on an replica...
The silver M3 estate was done properly. It can actually be put down as an M3 estate and not a replica. Work was done to the highest standard and most parts of an M3 were used such as engine, gearbox diff etc etc...full conversion. I have seen it in person and its honestly mind blowing!! You would actually think it came off the production line like that!

At the end of the day buddy it's your choice and all that matters is what you think of the finished product if your happy with it as its your car yes with any modification it can put buyers off should you come to sell it and that's even just with simple mods like wheels everyone's taste is different. Yes it'll cost you a few £££'s to do it but if you want to the decision lies with you. Quite a lot of replicas look great because they have been done tastefully and I am sure you are not the only one out there who wants a replica because they can't afford the real thing. So I guess you could say I am sat on the fence here and not much help lol

it's no different than using fake LV or Gucci stuff. It might be fun at first but when people notice it's a fake you will become a laughing stock. It's your choice but when i see someone who does something like this then you either GO ALL THE WAY or don't bother( i mean inside and outside = M3 interior and instrumental clusters etc).
And then if i owned an M3 rep and every time at the lights some people want some fun with me i would be feeling a little shit inside knowing i have a fake car and i can't afford it. Why not use the money to make a tastefully subtle modded 325 which included some inspiring m3 mods ( e.g the 1m inspired bumper, m3 side skirts, Custom cat back exhurst with quad pipes, full carbon diffuser, Aero III Carbon Fibre Boot Spoiler , m3 bonnet, then use some of the money to buy some drilled disc's and a good remap) pobably going to cost you less than the conversion and you have something really nice here!
