Bumper Question - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hi,

Is there any difference between purchasing a replica bumper vs. and oem? I know I've read about fitment issues but is there a difference in quality? My body shop guy is telling me that aftermarket bumpers are easier to crack.

If its made from PP then its the same type of material HOWEVER its not as thick/sturdy as the OEM bumper so it will crack more easily if you hit a squirrel as 40 mph lets say. Aftermarket fitment will NEVER be good as 100% but they come close for aftermarket m3 bumpers.
