Do Angel Eyes make a BIG difference in car appearance?

I have an option to buy new DEPO v2 240led AE headlights for $800 a pair. However, I'm not sure if it's worth it or not. What I mean is that let's say a bumper change or putting descent rims or lowering your car make a major look improvement. While headlights are often overlooked and only looked at at nights (some won't even bother to notice a difference at night). Do you think AE really made (or makes) a difference to your e9X or it's better to spent money on other mods first? Thank you

Other mods first, why not just get the LUX Angel Eyes?

You can turn your angel eyes on all day and make them very visible, not just at night. I know personally i turn them on all the time and the white angel eyes makes a big difference, making the car not only more visible but gives it a more updated look.

I doubt any random Joe on the highway cares about your lights or headlights. We drive by 1000's of cars a day and they don't care. It's about you. Do you want an updated look?

That's really what the end goal is here.

Subjective

I would say that cosmetic mods to your car are quite subjective to the individual themselves. But personally, I think keeping those angel eyes nice and bright during the day looks great on a car. Especially when someone looks in their rearview mirror and can tell that a Bimmer is about to blow by them! So personally, I think the angel eyes are important, but like I said, it is a very subjective topic!

I bough the LUX H8 160's and love the bright white look during the day (stock were yellowish/dull), worth every penny ($200). Plus they match the headlights perfectly at night.

picture doesn't do it justice, but you get the idea

You could do the HPB 80w from jeff, they are way cheaper and look the same. They also dont have issues pulsing off like lux and they dont stay full brightness at night, they dim like factory. Looks better IMO. otherwise your headlights look like blobs of white/blue. lol. no definition.

I like those headlights! So they are latest stuff, F30 like AEs right? I wish they were available for pre-LCI tho

It's personal preference. My daughter wanted "white" angel eyes on her 2011 335d because she didn't like the white Xenon and the "yellow/orange" halos being on at the same time - she wanted the colors matching. Thanks.

I don't really like the F30/DTM lights people have been doing, they just seem to look weird against the style of our cars. But whatever you like, I think that's definitely one of the more noticeable mods and I want to do an LED upgrade soon

agreed. they are too boxy for our curvy cars. e92 lci headlights are perfect. we need round rings, inner full circle, outer with top cut off.

I love the LCI lights. I wish there were a way to do the same mechanism on pre-LCI. The LCIs still use guided rings, just with individual LEDs under each ring and I'd imagine a better design. Gives it that cool icy look that none of the aftermarket options seem to have.

Thanks for the support!

I get nothing but compliments about my HPB H8 160W on my personal E92 too.

Guys thank you for all your suggestions and advice! The thing is I have stock halogen headlights, pre-LCI so I can't simply put in HPB 80w as I simply don't have AEs

So if majority of you say that OEM LCI AE's are the way to go - then what is the cheapest option and any links please where I can order? Thank you

P.S. So if I understand correctly, majority of you imply that it's AEs that are important to have for looks, but it's not important if they aren't necessarily LED. So instead of DEPO LEDs AE I can buy OEM LCI headlights that already come with AE in the first place. Correct me please if I'm wrong

I think angel eyes make a huge difference. With my current car, when I saw the previous owner put in the angel eyes, I was sold. Think about it-- all you see at night is the illuminated parts of a car. If you see yellow halogen lights, the vehicle looks like 80% of all the other cars on the road. If you see blue xenon lights, you associate that with more expensive cars, or perhaps just the more expensive option packages on a given car. If you see Angel Eyes... it's a different story altogether.

Ok guys, sorry for beaten to death questions, but to summarize I have 2 options:
1. Go for LCI headlamps and then just put in some HPB 80w to make halos brighter (correct me if I'm wrong)
2. Go with DEPO AEs V2 with 240 leds
Which option will give me less issues, visible and even halos in daytime and possibility to make AEs on during daytime as DRLs?

I'm still a newbie in this AE subject, sorry

Update: so did a research and it turns out DEPO lights have good Led Halo rings (probably brightest on the market currently) but they have "garbage" projectors. I don't want to buy DEPO only to face retrofitting them with some descent projectors - that is too much project for me.
Looks like OEM LCI headlights is way to go for me - but I can't find them anywhere? Any links? Thanks you
