Gascap warning then Service Engine soon light - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hi folks,
My car had Service engine soon light on, I took it in for brake job and the Indy shop reset it for me after informing it's nothing major, if in case it comes back call them. This morning the same warning came back up.. "Close Gascap" and after a minute or so "Service Engine Soon".
What is wrong here? More importantly how much is it going to cost me?
