It appears you have downloaded the DVD files for the CCC and not the USB files for the CIC system. ISO files are usually disk images so those are probably 3 DVDs.

I am a newbie when it comes to navigation on the BMW. I have a 2011 e92 (production date of 12/2010). Is it correct I have CIC navigation? How do I go about updating my maps?

This is correct. You've downloaded the wrong discs--they will not work with the CIC navigation systems.

Dl'ed the torrent last night. Whoever is seeding on Verizon FIOS, thank you very much. Was able to download in under 5 hrs. I'll be seeding it for a couple weeks to return the favor.

Sergej hooked it up with the code today and USB install worked! Was simple enough and easy to do. Took about 45 minutes or so for the car to get the update. Works great, FSC code was perfect and now I'm updated!

BTW, jumped from existing 2009 maps to 2013 without an issue.

I see some people are still having success getting the Torrent as recent as last night. I'm seeing no Seeds and thus no success in downloading. Can anyone help?

I wonder if the torrent has changed since the original in this thread. I can see about 4 peers, no seeds and 0% download speed. I'm using the one called BMW_CIC_NAVIGATION_NORTH_AMERICA_2013.torrent.txt. I removed the .txt and then opened that file with uTorrent. Not getting anywhere. Any help is appreciated if I'm doing something wrong.

Nope, the torrent is still good. I just started downloading approx 2 hours ago, it's chugging along at about a 1.2Mbps avg clip. I'm at 39%. I see 6 seeders.

hmmm... never thought I was weak on the technology side...the Torrent is working for some but not me. Yet I can download other Torrents so I don't think I have a firewall issue. I also can't seem to find where to turn on PM messages for this forum. Maybe I'll try this download from another computer on a different ISP.

Most likely was me. Thanks for seeding!! I was getting around 3mb/sec. That Verizon seed was giving me over 1.8mb/sec consistently.


I'm actually having issues seeding too. I dled it fine last night and then while I was trying to seed it today, it seems like no peers were able to connect to it. Almost like what dc113 is describing but I'm opposite trying to seed.

Well, I can't explain it but now it's working. I see 4 seeds and it's downloading now. A big thanks to those seeding and for all the help from everyone. I'll let you know how it goes once it's downloaded. I'll do my part and seed for a couple of weeks once I have it.

I got it. Thanks to all contributors. I'm seeding now. Upload speeds aren't great, but someone from Canada is hanging in there. I'll leave it running and hopefully other seeders will join in.

That's probably me hanging in there. I'm at about 30% completed. My computer rebooted at 3:00AM for updates which interupted about 4 hours of download time. Download speed is slow for me (despite 50Mb ISP connection) but if it remains steady I should have it all in about 12 hours.

Go to User CP on middle grey menu.
Choose "Settings and Options / Edit Options" on left hand menu.
About 1/3 of the way down the page is a place to enable private messages and a variety of other options.

Yep - I see ya there. Don't forget that your provider (Shaw?) likely shapes some of the traffic to limit bandwidth (though they say they do not).
