Need to replace mine very soon too.. any suggestions for GTA? I was thinking about calling Mike @ Maranello to see if there's a forum price for battery + Install/registration.

Wow, I was just thinking about this same issue over the weekend. Parkview BMW in TO is qouting me the worst case scenario (as it apparently depends onthe battery amp - which they couldnt tell me) price of $370 plus tax. A bit steep, no?

Wow, that sounds really cheap. Did they order the battery for you? How does one determine whether coding is needed or not? I was under the assumption that you need to get it registered after installing.

RMP Motors can change our battery and register it. They have tool to register it.
I think I pay less then $200 for mine to install and Regisitered to my car (e90), they also did my friends e60 and register. |

Doesn't sound too steep to me. It really depends what options you have on your car (cars with navi/comfort access etc need a diff battery than a barebone e90/e92/e93 etc)

![]() Edit: I've booked an appointment with them for tomorrow afternoon to get my battery changed. Original battery finally showing its age, but it was an impressive run. Last edited by dassub; 11-06-2012 at 01:07 PM. |

Just wanted to post an update.
Went to RMP Motors this afternoon, new battery now installed and registered.. took about a half hour at most. Everything seems to have improved.. The vents weren't blowing as strong recently, and the new battery fixed that. It might be my imagination, but the heated seats seem to warm up much faster now too. I had slow cranks in the cold mornings.. they are now resolved. All in all, I'm very happy about getting rid of the 2006's OEM battery. Last edited by dassub; 11-08-2012 at 10:13 AM. |

It was around $200, though I don't like to post prices online since they are always subject to change over time. You can call them and confirm for your specific car, though.
