Map Lights to automatically turn on, how? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

When I manually turn on all the map lights and lock the car all of the lights turn off as they should.

however when I unlock the car, the map lights do not turn back on, I want all of the lights to turn on when I unlock the car/open the door,
Is there a coding option for this, I search on every forum and Google

and can’t find it.

mine turns on just fine... when i unlock.

I always leave my lights on AUTO setting. try that?? maybe?

the setting on Auto or OFF doesn’t make a difference the Map reading light do not turn back on.

Do you have OEM interior lights or aftermarket LED lights

aftermarket LEDs, however i know where you are going with this, when I tried it with regular bulbs it did not make a difference.

When you unlock, your map light never turn on, your dome lights turn on and off and dim. We sell led interior kits and bulbs pm us. If you have any issues.

I'm going for a voltage issue, or a lack thereof as is sometimes the case. UndergroundEuros is onto something.

I know they don’t turn on, that’s what I’m trying to change. Thanks for your “input”, I already have interior LEDs, if you read the thread instead of just skimming to get the minimum info needed to push your products you would know that…thanks for your “help”

If the Map lights automatically turn off, it means they are controlled by some module and it’s a simple coding issue, I was hoing someone has figured it out before, but I guess not.
