Buying a high mileage 335i - opinions?

Hi guys

I'm uk based, sold my previous 335 a while back and have found a great deal now, Before I go into it at this point in time I can't afford more than the budget below, I'm looking to get a new plate m3 summer time anyway but I can't wait to spin up the turbos for now!

It's done 70,000 miles, in immaculate condition outside and in.

It's taxed and MOT'd for another year And it has just had a full service and has full service history, hpi clear, comes with 6 months dealership warranty covering everything apart from wear and tear, tyres, pads etc. and has M sport, heated seats, no I drive.

£11,500.

I know 70k is a bit steep but what do you guys think?

Thanks a lot

I think it's ok... You already owned a 335 so you know the car and its small problems...

Be sure having some aside for repairs later on...

I don't think that is a bad deal at all for the price and condition, especially if it has a little bit of warranty left over to ensure it is perfect.

70k is not really high mileage if the car is a 2007 or 2008 (5 full years now). I'd say it's more average or the higher end of average.

I don't think you can easily find a warrantied 335i in that condition at that price here in the states (18300 USD). It's possible, but considering how UK is generally a lot more expensive for cars, I think you are getting a pretty good deal.

I would probably be more inclined to buy an in warranty 335i with 70k (only BMW warranty) over an out of warranty 335i with 50k miles. At least with the in warranty car I could make sure it is running perfect with no conditions and surprises before the warranty runs out. Just my two cents.

Bit hit and miss, some very low mileage 335s have ran through various HPFPs, coils etc and some with high mileage have had zero problems.

I had 50k on my old one and it never missed a beat.

At about 12-14000 miles a year for a 5+ year old car, that is not considered high miles.

I have 75K on my 2008 and it is in pretty much the same condition (exterior and mechanically) as the day I bought it since it is fully dealer maintained and it runs perfectly. It is my daily driver and I love every second of driving it. I look forward to driving it to 100k before even considering to sell.

Thanks buddy yeah your totally right 335 m sports and especially in AW are so sought after it's silly.

It's covered as you saw under a full warranty and I can extend it also quite cheaply and I feel quite comfortable with the fact of the recent full service.

Think ill go with it!

Was looking at engine breakers in the US, found a load of blocks with 15/20k through them, 2007 RWD etc.

Saw one with 13,000 miles for $5700.

Could I put a 2007 American engine In a 2007 uk car if all the specs where the sams? Stupid question maybe something huge will not allow me to do this apologies in adv.

Should be fine if it's well maintained. Just bought a 335 with 80k miles. The previous owners took meticulous care of it. Passengers think it's only a few years old, even though it's an early 2007 build date. It's all about the previous owners and their handling/care of the car.
