Seat Staining

This is the first car I have had with light coloured seats (grey cloth) and I wont be doing it again!

my Mrs spilt some of the little un's water on the front seat the other day and now I have a massive water stain and looks like someone didn't make it to the bathroom on time,

Firstly what is the best thing to clean it with and secondly what is the best thing to treat it with so it doesn't happen again?

Cheers

Just bought a mini convertible and was told that the stain on the seat was due to the roof being left open.

I have done my research and Autoglym Interior Shampoo seemed popular. So bought some and with a soft sponge worked it into the interior.

Let it dry and looked at it a day later and stain appears to have gone. But weather and daylight hasn't been great so will check again to make sure. But happy with the results.

My wifes Bclass had some stains on the cloth centers of the seat. Borrowed neighbours bissel carpet cleaner and just used that came out brand new. Just make sure you do it on a dry day idelaly in summer and just leave the car open for few hours.
