Engine Temp Rising - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Driving my 335Xi 10 fairly hard for about 15 mins and I noticed the engine temp rise to about half way. Under normal driving I have always seen only a quarter reading at all time, and the one time when I when to top speed at about 154mph there was no change in temp. The car has since been upgraded with Cobb stage 1 sport and AFE sealed intake, nothing crazy but is this normal for the mods that are installed. Should I think about investing in a water cooler or upgrade the front mount? I don't normally drive the car aggressively, in fact I keep it pretty tame, but occasional I enjoy taking it on some mt roads and pushing it, I just would like to know if because of this rise in temp should I be upgrading other cooling areas? Thanks in advance.

p.s. No plans on modding it further (i.e exhaust or down pipe), just wanted some additional power without losing lux factor.

you mean oil temp was half way? perfectly normal, these engines run hot.

+1 sir. If you don't like your temp, FMIC will help, but I recommend squeezing some Meth hahah

thats not going to help for engine temps, only IATs.

Ok that's relieving...didn't want to look in to purchasing the oil cooler right away
