plasti dipping window trim on a sedan

Anybody tried this? All the DIY's here and videos on youtube I can find are done on coupes. This technique won't work for the sedans because when you open the rear doors there is a considerable amount of trim that won't get sprayed with the doors closed.
Has anybody done this or have any thoughts? The doors would have to be open and I am NOT going to get overspray all over the interior.

Wrap the trim in vinyl. It's much cleaner, and it has a better look and texture(smooth).

But its also much harder to install and more expensive

so plasti-dipping is pretty easy, its all in the preparation.

MASKING is #1. If you dont mask right, your job will looks bad and you'll have plastidip all over.

Most people do it with the door closed as it is a little easier and of course wont get any dip inside.

the edge where the door meets the trim is where everyone messes up when they are done. use a razor blade to cut between the door and the trim(dont scratch the trim)

you can also use goo-gone for any overspray you want to take off.

overall its a fun project. PM me if u have any issues

plasti dip

Simple man just remove trim that goes around the top of the windows. use a little force it will just pop off. tape up the chrome on the bottom of the windows and spray with doors closed. I did this and was it easy, no over spray anywhere and turned out nice.

You should post a DIY for this. im sure many people will thank you.

i heard this was the hard way as it is very easy to bend the trim.

The parts on the bottom of the windows are the hard ones to remove. That's why I left them on just taped them off. The other trim on top just needs to be pulled on with littl Bit of force but just clips off. Can't really skrew it up. The next time I pulled it off I'll do a diy for you guys

I wouldn't waste my time, I did it and after going 100 mph it started peeling off in the kink. Getting it vinyled soon.
