Investing in after market CP is a wise choice when tuned. Suggest getting one that uses the OEM clip, others that use pipe clamps are more prone to blow off.

Map 5 is fine. I've been running it 2 summers in an 07 and no problems. There are plenty that it has and hasn't happened to. I've read a lot of each. Do Ur research on here and do what you think you will need to.

There are many people running map 5 on the stock charge pipe with no issues. For now I'm spending money on mods that add power. The charge pipe is a risk, but I'll replace it when I NEED to.

The N55 has a lot weaker CP then the N54. However, one has to keep in mind if the stock CP does break, you basically can't drive the car, or plan on driving without boost and taking it easy if you must drive the car.

Do you think running an aftermarket CP will raise questions from the dealer? Not something I want to take off every visit

If you use the stock DV's probably not. Just don't get a BOV because they could say you were altering the "characteristics of the turbo." Just get a pipe that's flat black and connects using the stock connection. What can they say, a metal pipe instead of a plastic one caused an issue? Lol. Your DCI would raise more questions than a CP

Also, a CP takes like 10 minutes to swap out once you have your intake off. I say go for it for peace of mind. I learned the hard way and mine cracked, luckily it wasn't near the throttle body connection. Oh and mine cracked at 13psi map 1
