Exclamation Road Trip to DC Annual Grand Meet

DC is having another huge meet this year, October 21. Tons of great people, e90's, food, giveaway's, prizes, etc:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77365

I think I might road trip down there, if anyone is interested. I was thinking of driving down Saturday, staying Saturday night. We will probably all go out for dinner and drinks Saturday night. Sunday is the G2G. I think I most likely take Monday off, and drive back Monday.

Just curious if anyone is interested. Should be an incredible weekend. Caravanning down there would be fun (I have walkie talkies ), and the whole weekend would be a blast. I told Donny to let the NJ, RI, etc people know, and we could stop at points on the way down to add more members to the group.

Anyone else interested??

468 miles.. So about 5 hour drive? Not bad..

I wonder how long this trip actually takes.. I would think ~6 hours or so?

Maybe we drive half the way in the morning on Saturday (~3 hrs), stop for a nice long lunch halfway, then drive the rest (~3 hrs).

That sounds awesome!!!

Out of curiosity, do I need to lose my v1 when I get towards DC/virginia or no since I have MA plates?

Google says about 7 hours and 45mins. So like 6 or so like you said.

Yes you do. They will mess you up for having that in the DC/VA area.

That's a great idea. He has 2 e90's anyhow. We'll convince him that he's having problems with his eyesight and double vision. (well quadruple vision )

I don't know. Never done this drive before, maybe some people who have could chime in routes/advice. Looks like the big obstacle about halfway is NYC. So I guess it depends whether we want to try and get by it first and then eat lunch or the other way around..

Sounds like a great weekend though..

well I have gone down the east coast numerous times due to living in Florida. But really don't know any great stopping areas. I have always only stopped at the well known places.

NYC, Atlantic City, etc.

Sounds good. What are you getting. I think once it starts to get close Josh and I will continue to try and get others to join and will most likely start hammering out exact details.

So if there are atleast a few of us from here. We can make a list of exactly what to do, so everyone knows what's up.

Are you guys still planning a caravan to go down to the meet. On the way down, if you guys will be going through NJ, let me know which route you guys are taking. Maybe a few of us can meet up with you guys and head down there together. Not sure if you guys are leaving on a Saturday, though. That's what a few of us will be doing. We're going to hangout with the local guys and stay the night.

Scott

yes, please fine tune the arrangements.

A bunch of us are planning to head the caravan off at one of the rest stops along the way (somewhere by Delaware). The plan is to roll into DC together...
