I recently cracked my headlight lens in a bumper to bumper accident and i went to BMW and they said i would have to buy an entire new headlight, is there any way i can avoid spending so much money and replace the lens ?

Sadly, there isn't a way to get replacement lenses so a new headlight is the only solution.

First, if its only the housing that's cracked, make sure to save all of the salvageable components of your cracked headlight: the bulbs, xenon ballasts, AHL unit, etc. That'll save you quite a bit of money from replacing everything included in a new headlight.

Then like the previous poster said, just source out a good condition used headlight housing either in the classifieds, eBay, or Craigslist.

If you can get an undamaged headlight unit, all of your components should plug right into the new (uses) housing and you'll be good to go.
