Please help on which to choose and maybe why...I have search all morning and really found nothing on HPF...Post away

I would also choice the helix for its ease of installation and the fact that it is a great fmic. I like the way it has that stepped design giving you more height on the front for more surface ares for improved cooling.

I have an ER and i love it! amazing heat sink, only draw is theres a little cut off tooling needed to make room but as with most good sized intercoolers

Yes but realize the helix step up core, the upper part gets blocked from direct air flow of the bumper. You can't go wrong with any of these intercoolers as its far better then the stock one. It's matter of what you want to spend and what preferences you want. You will hear many opinions but ultimately its up to what u are looking for. I chose HPF because of the connection uses the original c-clip and also I prefer depth over height.

HPF.i have it & has been great.The others are great too.dont think you will go wrong with any of them.I can only speak for the HPF.Nice perfect fit.

Ets is what I have..... Probably as good as any. I installed in less than 40 mins. I paid $750 and I think they're cheaper now.

Out of those three I would choose the ER or Helix. I have not been pleased with the logs of HPF customers I have seen with that FMIC when protuning them.

I have the HPF 7" 10 bar and honestly don't have anything to compare it to. $ 4 $ I think if I had to do it all over again I would buy the VRSF 7". But that's just my opinion. They all do the same thing and you'll be hard pressed to really tell the difference. At the end of the day it really only matter how you feel.

Take your pick between Helix or ER. Both are great units that performs great so it'll be which you you prefer. If you want a nice piece to show off, Helix. If you want a stealth unit and have the sleeper effect, ER anodize black.

Helix by far.

--No cutting. This means you utilize the plastic air guard to direct air directly to the FMIC. On the others you remove this
--Height is more important than depth. Ask 1000hp Evo or Supra guys. They would laugh if you said depth is more important
--3" in and out ports with smooth connectors. Eliminates small, leaky, stock connectors. You can also option for a replacement lower charge pipe (ER has this but HPF dousn't)
--Biggest % volume increase over stock of the aftermarket FMIC's. In other words, best cooling potential.
--Seals to the bottom of the radiator and goes over it. THis means at idle, the radiator fan is moving air through the FMIC.
--Cast end tanks for smooth air flow.


It goes on and on. I can list a ton more but I think you get the point. Go with Helix first, then ER in a CLOSE second, and HPF last out of your selection.

I have a ER, it is great but think the helix has more quality and I like the height!

mine is usually 10+ over ambient Temps.Even less in the fall/winter.Guess each car is different.

Just have to clear this up... Absolutely NONE of the upper core is blocked by the bumper as the core comes up just under it
Here is a pic of the helix, please note that the upper core comes up just under the bumper totally exposed to ambient airflow.

There must be something wrong with your unit because I have never experience this heatsoak you speak of. But then again I am running meth so I don't know what heatsoak is!!! Lol.

OP like I stated can't go wrong with either one of the 3.
