What a great news i heared today

Starting 1. January 2013, Swiss govornement has decided to release all drivers from the emission tests if they have an onboard emission test system

So if your dash doesn't have a light burning, you're good to go

How're you guys in cali enjoying that breaking news

Whaaaat! Need to look into this! Not sure catless will be an option tho, am sure cops will pull you over for the sound and stick it to ya.... In more ways than one

might I ask where you saw this? Local paper? Must of missed it if so...

Cattless will still be a NO-go in Switzerland... But you can do something what would be illeagle before...

Florida

where there are no emissions tests or front Plates and the cops dont care about tints.

I think it's 2005 or 1006 cars will be required to pass the readyness test from the OBD connector.

If no lights burning and no stored codes and you have completed a drive cycle you are good. They will plug you in, inspect, then let you go.

GA (Metro Atlanta area) only does the pipe test if your car is not OBDII compliant.

So if you're 93 or older (I believe), then you gotta do the whole test. If you're newer, they run an OBDII check and if the car's computers says you're good, you're good!

Cars past 25yrs old and Diesels are exempt.

Outside of Metro Atlanta, there's no emissions law at all.

I'd never run catless. Even if it weren't policed. I hate the raw smell and I'd feel bad about destroying the world just a bit more so I can get an extra few ponies.

Thing is: YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET IT CHECKED STARTING 2013 IN SWITZERLAND

No visits to the garage anymore

If the cops pull you over and the light is on, you will have a month to get it fixed. That's it

Tail Pipe Emissions Test is a sniff test.
