This is what I feel is going to happen to mine when I smell some oil burning because of the crappy valve gasket. Thank god your ok, sorry about the car mate.

Knowning how sarcastic people are here on e90post, after seeing the thread title I had a feeling it was either going to be this, or a badly modded e90 this person spotted somewhere.

It is good practice to keep a small fire extinguisher somewhere in the car JUST in case for something crazy like this.

Glad to hear everyone is safe! Keep us posted on what the inspectors say was the root of the fire.
