Hey guys,

I have a 2007 328i (early dec. 2006 build).

I want to get my car coded soon however I am wondering if I can get the fog lights and license plate lights to turn on upon unlock?

ask Alex@Alpine he'll be able to help you out. I couldn't do it on my 2006 330i

It is possible if you have FRM2, in your car is FRM1 so you can't do it.

If you will replace your light module to newer from 03.2007 it will be possible.

If you really need Welcome Lights you need FRM2, I mean you can buy used module name as: Footwell Module, Light Module, FRM

You can buy used one on ebay and replace it, then you have to reprogram and recode it and you will have all light features which are available in cars after 03.2007.

All this is taking about 2 hrs. Module costs about $100-$150, you need OBD usb cable to code it.

My friend is coding for me today. I most likely have FRM1 since my car was built in 2006.

As the previous poster said, if your 07 car was built after March. 2007, you should have the FRM2.

If it starts at 03/07, why does my 06/12 335 have Angelibright AE as DRL? Previous owner installed FRM2 before I purchased?

I had to buy used frm2 since my car was built in 06.....Now i have welcome light and AE as DRL. Btw coding seems pretty confusing how you'll have to change vin and etc... so i got help from pweber84!!! SHOUT OUT TO PWEBER84 for the help!

I believe 03/07 is for e90.

^^^ I think he is right, my 07 E92 is 09 2006 build, but was able to code the welcome lights
