I had a really weird idle this morning and just wanted to know if any other N55er's have experienced this or even N54's.

Started my car this morning and the RPMs flew up to 2.5 and then back down to 1 and jumped up to 2 and back down again to one. It did this jumping between 1,000 and 2,000 rpm for about 5 times. My friend thought I was hitting the gas and letting off it, trying to warm it up but I wasnt touching the gas pedal at all. I just sat in my drivers seat like WTF.

Hey Sara - yes, mine does this as well. Usually first thing as soon as I start the engine, then another when I hit the A/C on.

Then sometimes when I sit idling at a light or in traffic (which is pretty frequently where I live).

Sara - has yours done this anymore since you posted? Driving home in very heavy, constant stop-and-go traffic for about an hour, I had this happen very prominently when I was idling and frankly, was really pissing me off! lol

Has anyone else had this issue at all?? This cannot be normal…as I pulled into my garage at home from driving in the traffic, I let it sit for a few minutes and it continued doing this. I think I'm just going to bring it in to the dealer...

It havent hardly driven it since then because Ive been staying downtown all week (just blocks from my work) but I do go home tonight so I will be returning back to my normal driving habits. If it happens, I will for sure post it here for you.
