Wheels for 328i E90, recommendation please

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to upgrade rims on my 2008 328i e90. It currently has original i think 16" rims. Doesn't look good at all

What would you suggest for upgrade? I really want go with aggressive look, 19'

I heard that have rims can cause damage to the car, slowness and etc.... I don't want my car to run slower or cause any damage. Would is your experience and suggestion?

Thanks!

Go with 19's, there's no damage, you won't get any slower.
I have the same car as you but '07, on coilovers, 18's and 19's all good for the past 3 years.

I would suggest VMRs, Avant Garde, or the Alufelgen SF-71 or CS7 for a clean look. 19s would be good for visual but if you track then maybe consider 18s. Your stock wheels should both be around the same weight (~20lbs) as the 19s so you won't really feel much power difference due to weight.

Apex arc 8 in 17", weight only 16.5lbs, they will make your car respond better. Combine with regular non-rft tires. You really can't put the 18 or 19's on your car (from the stock 16) without it looking like a raised 4x4. You will need to get lowering springs as well to avoid that look. And you shouldn't just put lowering springs without upgrading the shocks too. So that is why I say just go with the Apex 17". They look great, they're strong and come in various finishes. Really can't go wrong.

You will have to change the suspension too as im guessing you have stock non sport suspension so will look rather odd sitting on 19's

If you're looking for a nice fitment, that won't cause any issues, our 19x8.5 ET35/19x9.5 ET33 fitment should do the trick for you.

Check out some of our wheels, and let me know what styles you like. We're somewhat local to you too, so you can always come up to Anaheim and check the wheels out in person.

The small amount of extra weight doesn't make a big difference. You don't have to lower your car. It would look better lowered but it's definetly not necessary. Just get low pressure cast or forged wheels and you'll be fine.

I agree^

You get what you pay for.

KW Variant 3's is what I would run but again depends on what you are looking to spend and what you want out of it.

Anything BMW PE is going to be very expensive. The PE suspension doesn't drop the car that much if that's what you are looking for. Under $1000 ST coils would be an option or you could go with springs although if you have the money I would recommend coils > springs anyday.

get forgestar f14 semi deep concave front and deep concave rear or if you into REALLY AGGRESSIVE LOOK! go super deep concave rear. That would be my next set. for under 1000 you could go st or megan racing if you could push 200 more I will do eibach pro street s. Is just 200 more and eibach is a more reputable company when it comes to coilovers and springs look them up a lot of member have good things to talk about them (even better I believe KW makes the steel of the strut or something like that)

Thank you everyone!
I have gone ahead and got set of Avant Garde 19 8,5 front and 19 9,5 rear.
I am very happy with my purchase!

I think it needs to be lowered. Most of my friends tell me that I should not due to damage to the car it my couse. I really don't want make damage and I don't want my tires to wear out to quick because of lowering.

What would best way to go about it? I don't want pay a lot of money for coilovers. Just springs but tires is my concern...
