I was considering a 1er. Really like the way it handled and felt. Very tossable. In the end like many other it was just too small for daily use. But I still love my e92 jb4 n54 manual!

I just recommended the X1 to my parents.. it will suit their needs perfectly.

As for me - I don't care for the styling of the 1 series (other than X).

the headlights on the 1 is simply terrible. i eventually got used to the awkward rear end, but those headlights. UGH. looks like O_O

i dont care how awesome a car drives, if it looks retarded, it's a no go.

Nope. I need 4 doors and find the 1 series to be butt ugly.

Nope. I've never liked the interior. I never thought it was ugly on the exterior, but just too small. 1M is sexy, but I didn't want a manual.

I'm new to BMW ownership and my focus has always been on the 335i xDrive and quite frankly was not even aware of the 135 existence....that's a ton motor in a little car, must be a pure blast to drive.

I did not because I need AWD. If the 135 came with x-drive I would have considered it.

I do find the e92 a better looking car fwiw

No. Never liked 1 series. The only other car I was looking at was an e46 M3.

I looked at a few 1 series but the lack of 4 doors was going to make it really difficult to get my son in and out of the car. Coincidentally I had a 128 as a loaner when my e90 was in for service and after using the car on a regular basis for a few days I had no regrets!

never liked the 1 series, looks too small imo.

when i went to the dealer i test drove a E90 335i and a 328i. ended up going with the 328i because it had everything i was looking for (in terms of features) no regrets =)

+1, test drove the 1 when it first came out, whar nice little zippy car, extremely fun to drive. but cant justify the price. i love the original 2002 and 1 is close resembles to it. but 3 is more elegant more practical for DD. if track often then maybe go for 1. be careful between 328 and 335, people always said extra ponies aren't necessary but guess what...........

Didn't consider a 1, new I wanted a 3. Doubt I would have been able to fit all
6' 4'' of me in a 1. However I bet those 1Ms are fun as hell to drive, like a go cart on crack.

Depends if you like the nimble compact feeling of a small car. If so, 1-series is the way to go! If you want to switch it up and go with something not as light, 3-series

Nope. I knew I wanted an E90 6 speed 335i.

I was very clear on it. The person at the dealership thought I was confused, as she continued to send me emails "hey look how nice this 128i is!". Right; I often cross shop sedans and coupes......................................
