Craziest shit on the freeway tonight!! - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

So i'm driving back home to SF from the east bay with my gf. We're on hwy 24 or seomthing, approaching the tunnel by Orinda, and from awhile back, this crazy ass driver had been sorta tailgating me. Not specifically me, but just everyone in his way, and most of the time it just happened to be me in front of him. Usually I can be kind of an ass when it comes to drivers like these, just to mess with them for being an ass on the road, by not letting them pass and all. But my gf was in the car, and it was night time so I didn't really wanna risk anything.

Anyways, the driver passes me and everyone, and by now we're getting into the tunnel. I see the same crazy ass driver trying to get into the left lane by barely squeezing in front of this guy, the first time actually almost hitting the other car. Me and my gf are just like..."wtf is this guy doing??"

The guy then speeds up down the tunnel, and suddenly we see this black civic that was in front of the crazy ass driver making a very quick and sudden lane change over. The crazy driver now pulls up right next to the black civic, and as the civic suddenly speeds up, we hear a loud bang. Now, at this split second, I'm thinking this might be a blown tire, since i see a bunch of cars in front of us suddenly slowing down, but i dont see any rubber flying.

Noooo....instead of rubber, suddenly we're all showered with broken glass. Not like a couple bits here and there. Completely showered with glass flying EVERYWHERE. We see the black civic with a completely shattered side window, and that's when we realize, it wasn't a blown tire we heard, it was a gunshot.....the crazy ass driver shot at the civic!!!

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!

Now the civic is speeding down at the end of the tunnel with the crazy driver right behind him. Damn, high speed gun chase. You'd think you would only see this kind of shit in the movies. But damn...what an exciting night!!

Trying to pick up any news about it on the local news websites, but haven't found anything yet. Probably not news-worthy enough.

Wow that's pretty crazy. I was on that route earlier that day too. Seems like that always happens in the east bay!! Last one i heard was in berkeley! Glad you're all right though. Some people are freakin nuts!

This must be getting more and more common. In June I saw 2 minivans driving around with bullet holes in the back, 1 was definitely from an automatic weapon.

Hwy 24 takes you out of Oakland. I drive that way sometimes and getting through Oakland rush hour is like a reality show "Who can avoid people without car insurance".

I usually mess around with stupid drivers too but not in this town
