Slipping clutch on remapped 330D - advice please.

Hi,

My remapped 330D clutch is starting to slip, she's got 54,000 miles on and was remapped 4,000 miles ago.

Is it worth me replacing the clutch with an uprated version to handle the extra torque of the remap?

Anyone else had this issue?

anything else worth considering when replacing the clutch?

Thanks

Yowch.

I know the clutch is the weak point with the torque of a remapped 330d, this is the first I've heard of one failing though.

If you do end up replacing it, it's probably worth seeing if the DMF needs doing too.

I'm going to drive it a bit less enthusiastically for now and see how I get on.

What is DMF?

OP - at what point does it slip?

Say if you are cruising in 3rd and you floor it does it slip then?

Or is it only if you pull away hard, or change gear agressively and then it doesn't fully lock up after you release the clutch pedal?

Don't understand the point of having a remap and then driving 'less enthusiastically '.

Surely the point of a remap is to drive like your cock is on fire?.....
