Rubbing coming from steering column

40k miles on vehicle, 2010 335D.

Symptom: barely audible rubbing sound coming from the column when I turn the steering wheel. It only happens when the car has been driven for about 10 miles. It's somewhat louder during low speed driving such as around a parking lot.

Anyone experience this?
