Driver's seat back rocks a bit, any fix?

my 2009 coupe driver seat back rocks a bit. about half a centimeter in travel. it is quite annoing especially on hard braking.

I realized that years of torque and braking have put some pressure on the seat and maybe worn it down.

I went to the dealership to check out the play in their new coupe, same car and model and the rocking is not as bad. maybe about 2mm of play.

Does anyone know how to fix this and where to start?

I wonder if it's because of the 6MT.

Noticed this a few months after getting my car. Got used to it and now only notice it once a month or so and it bothers me for 5 minutes

Yes I have 6MT. It happens on my 6MT. Maybe us 6MT people have a lot of jerkyness.

The dealer told me they would have to break down the seat and examine it. Looking at realoemparts.com, there isn't a single piece by piece that shows the culprit. The whole unit seems to be one asssembly, so they dealer is probably going to screw me an arm and say to replace the entire seat assembly.

It seems to be prevalent for everyone. Oh well, it does bother me when I drive hard and brake hard. Maybe if it gets even more worse, I'll replace the seat myself on a weekend.
