Is this a transmission warning light?
I just got this warning to the top right of my shift indicator. The car's CPO and <40k miles. I haven't noticed any obvious mechanical difficulty lately. There are no codes, at least not that Dash Command wants to find. I guess my question is, is this, in fact, a transmission warning light, and if so is there a reasonable way for me to pull diagnostics with a K+DCAN cable that goes beyond a basic scan tool?

I see no transmission light the only thing I see is low gas.
The little triangle to the right of the letter P can mean many things and its usually low fuel, lower washer fluid, Your traction control turned off. Use your left stalk that is same as your blinkers and high beam to check systems if you don't have iDrive when ever you have a question about the triangle because I don't see DTC light or the triangle with skidding up top above the fuel symbol so I imagine you haven't turned you traction control off. Its probably due to your low Fuel but it can even mean low washer fluid something very minimal that's normally what the triangle means even oil changes/annual vehicle inspections or any other scheduled maints. Yea that caution triangle comes on for every basic thing and it usually means nothings bad just another idiot light to make everyone think first time I noticed it was on a M3 I test drove which was low on gas but as I said it can mean you washer fluid needs filling also I'd go through your system check to be completely honest I don't pay attention to that thing anymore. I just worry about the ones that are were the fuel symbol is or above that in the dark area were it says your brights or fogs or on

Yes, the general warning. The gas light is quite obvious. Been standard for how many years now? Anyway, my point is it seems irrationally dumb to fire a nondescript and generally much more serious icon anytime ANYTHING is astray, including when the car is simply low on gas. Which is guaranteed to happen twice or ten times per month.
