Sick and Tired of RFT!!!!!
I can't stand the runflat tires anymore. I have the bmw warranty that if i get a flat they change it for free but everytime I get a flat they say the thread is too low and they can change it so I have to spend like $400 on a damn tire
![]() Another questions is what do you guys do if you get a flat without a spare tire. Thanks. ![]()

Try tirerack.com for surveys of different tire choices. You can get some sense of each tire's strenghs and weaknesses.
Also, CarandDriver.com has done comparison tests (partnering with Tirerack ). I opted for Continental Extreme Contact DW. But you might prefer tires with different characteristics. Regarding what to do....I carry a plug kit in my trunk along with an inflator and a bottle of Slime. All can be had for under 50 bucks. |

You sure about this 255/35/19 front and 255/30/19 ? Thats wrong on many reasons. get DWS or DW tires. I've had over 20 sets of wheels/tires and those are the best. MPS2 are amazing too but I just prefer DWS due to its amazing in the snow

I see a set of Michelin PSS in those sizes are $1132 on tirerack.com and much better and RFT.

Depends on your budget, even the RE050 as a non RFT are not bad but there are some tires a little less expensive that perform just as good if not better.
I'm assuming your looking for a summer tire only. If you want something that performs well you might want to look into Nitto NT05. If you get a flat, call a tow truck. Some people put a can of fix a flat in the trunk but that might not always work. Others put a repair plug kit and air compressor. Depends on how far you want to go.

DW is probably one of the better tires to get.

Like I suggested DW or DWS would be the best choice. the Michelin is expensive. You can even go with the hancook v12s which are good.
Also that trunk spare is too big. You can go on ebay and buy the oem e60 17" spare for less than 200.00 and its a donut. I don't bother with that. I have an air compressor and fix a flat and I have AAA. Last resort is AAA due to my cars lowered. I used to keep a spare in the trunk but it got annoying when I needed to put something fairly large in the trunk. |

Sorry for such a dumb question but what is dw? I have never looked into changing the tires in my car. I've always had oem tires I am just starting to learn about tires.
BTW that spare tire kit is ridiculously big lol. I would hate to have that in my trunk.

Your currently paying $400 per tire on runflats.... Go with the Michelin PSS for less than that for a 10000 times much better tire and never look back. Carry an air compressor and a tire plug kit and call it a day.

Why don't you run 235 and 265?

I was thinking about doing that but I don't know if they are going to rub or how it's going to effect the performance of the car. My car is an e92 btw I know that fitment is a little different than the e90.

donut spare doesn't take that much room, invert it so the wheel well is up and put your spare oil, compressor, gloves, etc. in the wheel well. Factory jack and tire tools fit in the molded compartments under the trunk liner that were designed for them (but of course BMW no longer includes the tools). Hold the tire and stuff in the wheel well down with a couple of bungees crossed to the tie-down loops from the holes in the donut rim. I can still fit a standard sized carry-on suitcase on top of the tire, and there is plenty of space left in the trunk on the sides and behind the tire as well. On our last road trip, we got 4 suitcases in the trunk and still had room, including the spare tire.

No rubbing with 235 and 265 on those wheels.

I got the hankook v12s in 235/265 and couldn't be happier. With the rebate they were less than $800 delivered to my door.

Well I ended up getting the Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 235/35/19 and 265/30/19. I ordered them through Costco and cost me like $1200 mounted and everything. I didn't want to buy crappy tires when I drive a 50k car. Thanks for the help.
