Slow crank on a 2006 330i?

I am having really slow crank almost every time I start it up now Could it be the fuel pump? Thank god I don't have the HPFS problem or whatever its called. But, being out of factory warrenty (I have an extended Platinum) I hope its not too expensive/hard to fix. Thanks!

How many miles? I'd check starter/battery/alternator before fuel pump

Not likely fuel pump. The 330i does not have the same issues as 335. My guess is battery

It's over four years old, it's definitely the battery. My brother has the same car and had to get his battery replaced at the dealer. $$$ Ouch!!!!
Mine is four years old as well, but so far my battery is holding out.

Either the battery or the starter I would say. I was having the same issues and had to have my starter replaced by the dealer since my car didn't start one morning and it turned out that the starter went bad. My car was 59.000 mls at the time.

Do you get the battery warning if you have the engine off and the radio on? I get that after 20 sec but no slow crank. I will get an Interstate battery soon.

Fix it? Mine is having the same problem even though the battery tested fine when an independent shop looked at it. I want to get it taken care of before I install my PBX.

Go into the trunk with a flashlight and look at the battery compartment. On the actual battery, i believe the top right of it (near the negative terminal) there is a clear circle. Shine the flashlight into it and see what color it is. If i remember correctly, green means its good, orange? means it has a low charge, and red means it needs to be replaced.. If its orange or red i'd say you need a new batt.
