06 e90 330i - seat controls / seat warmer issues

So, my seat controls stopped working about the same time my battery was getting low. I had my battery replaced at an indy shop, who registered the battery. However, now my seat won't move and the heated seat doesn't work, but only on the driver side. Then, after messing around, checking fuses, looking underneath the seat, i realize the seat actually moves, but only when I am not sitting in it. If i sit down, it won't move. Then, I lift may ass off the seat, still in the car, and it moves. I have no idea what could possibly cause this. I am out of warranty and would hate to pay the stealership to fix this, especially as I can see this costing hundreds, just like everything else does. Any have any similiar experience?

Does the backrest work with or without you in the seat or are you just having a problem with the fwd back up down? I would double check the fuses I had a door lock issue and I ended up changing 3 fuses before it worked right.

Has anyone found a solution to this? I just ran into this same problem today. Replaced my battery about 2 months ago. Not sure if this caused the issue, I could swear I've tried to adjust the seat since then.

Most likely the diver seat wiring harness is shot.

What part are you thinking is shot? The interface to the rest of the car?

I tried to yank and replace the seat motor / memory controller... Problem is even worse now. Now the seat won't move at all. Then I put the old one back int, and it still won't move. Anyone know if there's a calibration / resettting procedure? Preferably without ediabas / re-coding.
