golf tee mod help - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

hello everyone i did the golf tee mod by unplugging the air line that connect to the exhaust and plug a screw in so there is no air movement, now after a couple o miles my check engine line turn on and it says lost of power reduce speed

help thanks

Extraordinarily unlikely plugging the line caused a CEL/limp..like others have said pull the codes or take it to the dealer/indy if you don't have a way to do it.

Like what orhers said, not related. Have you done your HPFP yet? A code would be very helpfull.

not related. and no the dealership more than likely will not check to see if you did the golf tee mod or not so i wouldnt even worry about putting it back to stock before you take it in

Just unplug the electrical connector under the driver taillight cover in trunk. This provides power to the exhaust flap and accomplishes same thing.

non related issue, only time you would see anything related to it is when you read the codes (no lights will show)

As others have said. Btw time to start saving for a proper exhaust. The golf tee mod is a waste of time IMO
