You see, the thing is, I think my remapped 325d is fast. Oh how wrong must I be. WOW! I'd love that power figure.

Where did you get it remapped and was the dyno part of it ? Might take mine to superchips as based where I live and similar power but no dyno print outs

1) Yup, it does go like stink

2) Sorry no "after" the FMIC and Exhaust dyno but the car is deffinately better that when the dyno was done.....I may get it done out of interest one day

3) Mods at the time were....nothing other than the DMS remap

4) Awesome indeed, thanks

5) Yes very quick, for sure....needed the Quaife LSD, without a doubt

6) It was mapped by DMS. It was mapped whilst on the Dyno and this map is the 3rd version as it produced the smoothing power delivery and the highest. I had an Audi S3 done by Superchips a few years ago and had it done at the Headquarters and then you will get before and after Dyno plots. The best thing about doing it this way was they try different versions of the map to get the best gain they can on the day. If you have it done anywhere else, you will get the "generic" map and the power will not be what is quoted. So I strongly recommend you go to headoffice if you choose them.

The head office is based in Buckingham ind est
And I live in Buckingham so will be going there any way but I thought it was just a plug in bluefin no dyno but I might ask so that way they can prove the gains they have quoted ,

Also have you done any work to the box or clutch as I've been hearing things any more then 550tq and box can't take it ? Surely this isn't the case as your mods now will of pushed it over that as just the chip at chips will take it too 520ish ?

PhilM:-
Standard it was around 278BHP I think, so a bit under stock quotes....on the same dyno on the same day the map was done and it stayed on the dyno all the time.

Bats335d:-
I have had the Map on for about 12 months now and no issues, noises bumps or groans. I have my foot on the floor at every opportunity to get up to motorway speeds. i have never tracked it though.

The box is stock but it has the very lastest Software version as does the whole car....done about 4 weeks ago and then about 6 months before that.

Dan 930
I had a 2007 S2. the 2 litre 265BHP one.

It mapped as Superchips, with the Bluefin at 309BHP. I only kept it 6 months as:-
1) it was not exciting to drive at all
2) You need 3rd gear to hit 60
3) to lauch it quick of the mark was a pig and required alot of clutch abuse, so not worth trying.
4) it just felt too safe

My mapped 335d would eat it for breakfast in every way possible

I've also had:-
Subaru Imprezza with 305 BHP
SL 32 AMG with 365 BHP
135i M Sport Coupe with 400BHP

and quite a few other quick cars with less power.

TBH I liked them all in different ways, but I am not dissappointed at all with the 335d, it's brutal yet refined. Its fast yet its economical. Its quite big but actually feels light when you throw it about.

Hope the above helps

I had an evolve map which was great, but definitely needed the Quaiffe.... And a brake upgrade, and possibly better dampers. My current 335d is not mapped and it is this time of year I get thinking again.... But the extended warranty is too much of an incentive not too

the quaife is definately worth it. But No wheel spin is a big ask with the torque I have

If I ditched the RFT's too i'm sure it would even better. But in the dry, in a straight line I can get pretty much everything down on the road, when the tyres are warm. The quaife does have a slight delay in working then it "grabs" I do wonder if the Wavetrack would have been a better option...and its cheaper.

1st gear was almost unusable before the Quaife and 2nd gear spilled a fair bit too

Batts335d:-
I don't know

Maybe one day I will get it done again just to know.

If I do I will get it done on the same dyno to get as close to relevant comparison as possible.

The shifting seems very slighty quicker and the same with the paddle shift...could be placebo........ The most noticable was launching in first gear, I think the power delivery has changed or the torque limited slightly. Don't get me wrong, the wheels can still break loose and spin when I launch it but it is harder to make them spin, so in my case it makes launching the car fast a bit easier as I get more traction. On stock power it may make it feel sluggish, I guess.
