This is the size of my spacesaver (genuine) for my 330D E91 (2009)
125/80/R17, 17/3.5 ET8 The spacesavers from earlier cars dont always fit the E90s with big front brake disks.

Maybe not.
E46 wheels have different offsets to E9x Look for E60/E61 5 series wheels. Same size as the standard E9x space saver, only they are a steel wheel. They will fit OK, and do go over my 335 brakes. Mike |

I'm not sure on the offset of it, but I bought a 17" BMW spacesaver for using with my Z4 (same offsets on standard wheels as E46s). I've tried it on my e90 330i and it appears to fit fine. So I'd say (from my experience) that a 17" E46 spacesaver would fit - a 16" certainly wouldn't clear the brakes though.
