We may need one, if people ever want to see an N54 reach 1000+whp.

A direct injection N54, anyway. To make those HP numbers people may have to convert to port injection and use a standalone like a ProEFI.

Unfortunately, there's no aftermarket pumps available. I've never looked into how our HPFP mechanically operates, it's possible they operate like the HPFPs used in the 2.0 turbo FSI. If that's the case APR(http://www.goapr.com/products/fsi_fuel_pump.html) may be willing to step up and produce an after market pump.

that would be awsome but i think somehow the HPFP hooks into the timeing chain, i dont really know much about anything for fueling but i know that right now the HPFP is our only fueling limitation, then the Autos Issue will be Transmission and for manuals the DMFW. but if more companies can look into this platform we would get a lot more products for competitive prices.
and Level 10s kit for the "bullet proof" tranny is a joke IMO ive poked around and the its nothing more than a ZF rebuld kit with a bored out valvebody. i think for auto trannys we need to space out the gears to shift harder but not to hard to break the teeth and at high horse power that should prevnt slipping. I dunno thats how im looking at it right now. i could be wrong..

If it's driven by the timing chain it probably uses a wobble plate.

Do we have an idea of what the stage 2's max psi will be?

~25 Max in the midrange, tapering to ~19 above 6500. That's full kill mode.

I wouldn't expect them to live long at that boost but it should make damn good power lol
19psi tapering off to 17psi would probably be a safe, high power boost curve.

Also, it depends on the application. For stock frame upgraded turbos >20 psi at midrange is just fine for a glory dyno run, but not for a full lap in the Ring.

I see these turbos use factory wastegates. Do the RBs as well?

I know the arms and flappers are much better on both these products over stock.

If you check Robs sit I believe he's using an upgraded version of the stock waste gates. Better material and 8mm rod (different material) instead of the crap 6mm steel.

I was referring to the wastegate (the diaphragm) itself. I know the rod is upgraded and the flapped.

not sure if you're confused. RBs use an upgraded arm as well as a new billet flap. these will have whatever internal wastegate the turbos come with.

you couldn't just take off the stock wastegates and fix them to these new turbos and furthermore, nobody would. an internal wastegate is machined as part of the entire turbo.

100% inaccurate. Our turbos come with all new 100% stainless Steel new arms and flappers made to our specs. If you don't know what you are talking about. Please do not pretend to.

Yes, you were asking for exact specs on stage 2 and 3 which I widely documented. If someone is stating inaccurate information. It requires a response.

1+++

I think from what we have seen of updates and follow ups by others here on this forum when it comes to new products for our cars, that Vargas and company deserve some credit , they have kept us in the loop and provided pictures and info along the way.

Expecting them to give individual information on a daily basis is little too much.

And giving wrong information about their product is not nice

These turbos dont get made by themselves , someone has to make them...

So be patient

I personally e-mailed Vargas and spoke to Tony via e-mail. I explained my situation, currently in Afghanistan and asked him my questions and time frame on the stage 2 kit. This would be a Saturday back in the states.

I was not expecting a response, but not only did I get a response, I got one within the hour answering all of my questions. The customer service was impressive, considering I was talking to the man that designed the stuff. The kit is cheaper than others and I cannot wait to place my order. I already have the details worked out with my shop/mechanic back home and we both look forward to the project.

Tony seems like a stand up guy and is here for the community, not just to make a buck; which is something that I look for in a company that I am going to do business with.

His fast response is definitely a plus. I think my first email to him was just a general email regarding core price and timeframe for stage 2. Needless to say I found myself putting in my preorder a couple days later.
