Seriously stupid but legitimate question

I'm moving next week. I plan to pack my car full of as much of my stuff as I can, is it possible to damage any of the suspension components from having that much weight in the car for say, 16 - 24 hours? Not really any excessively heavy stuff.. clothes, blankets, monitor, etc. but it will add up overall I'm sure.

There is a max carrying weight for the car in the manual I think. I doubt you'll have any issues as the cars can handle at least 4 fat adults.

Yea realistically im thinking it's probably 300 - 400 lbs of stuff; but just wan't to make sure nothing's going to be "worn down" from having the load on the suspension for that long

Check your door jamb for the total "allowed" weight (this includes your car's weight, unfortunately.)

300-400 pounds is like 2-3 people. Just make sure your not hitting massive potholes while the extra weight in your car. You have nothing to worry about as far as the extra weight on your suspension.

Don't worry about it. My car was literally packed to max capacity when I moved back to SoCal for school. Only problem was not being able to see in my rearview mirror.

But seriously...300 lbs? That's one really fat friend or two normal sized ones. The car is designed to seat 5 adults.

^^^This.

You're thinking wayyyyy too much about it. Just pack the car and do your thing. Stop putting the car on a pedestal.
