As of right now the Cobb is being loaded into my car at 15%. There is a huge buzzing noise in the back of my trunk. What the hell is that?

Also got a DSC malfunction error immediately. Also, hope my battery don't drain. The daylight savings feature , I left on. So the front parking light and rear parking light are on. Radio and interior lights are all off.

Shit, I hope I didn't fuck up my car.

Buzzing noise in the trunk might be the amp, or could be the battery area. It shouldn't be very loud though.

But yeah, the noise you were hearing is the fuel pump running while the DME was programming. Totally normal. In the future, I'd recommend turning off the daytime running lights (or connecting a battery charger) before flashing the DME. It's best to keep the system voltage in the 14's if you can.

why does the fuel pump need to run when the car is programming? does the DME feed on fuel???

It's probably because they don't know how to safely keep it shut down during flashing. I hate this too, because it eats up battery. But it's a minor complaint.

Good one.

It's probably because the DME is what tells the EKPS (fuel pump control module) what to do, and communication is lost during programming. By default, I'm guessing the EKPS activates the pump at a high PWM duty-cycle, which is why you hear it whining.
