About to Install VRSF 3" catless down pipes. Should I be getting the DP fix?

You need a tune or the DP Fix to suppress the code. To pass emissions, if applicable for you, you need the DP Fix regardless.

Okay so it's basically just for the code? Does it effect performance to NOT have it? I'm going to get it regardless, just curious.

DP fix is a generic term given to any item that automatically deletes the emission code that pops up when you eliminate the cats in the DPs. Any of the big name tunes can do it. If you do not want a tune, a stand alone module can be bought here.

But if you are getting downpipes ... Just get a tune!

You need to get rid of the code one way or another. Otherwise the DME thinks there's an issue and may pull timing, fuel, etc

It won't do this. The car will only throw Cat codes.

You need a tune to supress the code or a downpipe fix to pass emmissions OBD2 testing. You can also have just the DPFix if you don't want to tune your car to hide the codes.
