What color wheels on Jet black?
It's been eating me for months. Can't decide of silver/gunmetal wheels or black wheels on my jet black 335i coupe. What's the census? Please no "it's what you like" because I'm
Aware, I just want more deciding factors! Update; I ordered staggered 2012 M5 reps in matte black. Front et 37 rear 33. Anyone know how I can get red time attack rings done? ![]() |

See my pictures in my garage. My car is black sapphire metallic. Personally, on a jet black car, I might do gunmetal, for contrast.
What color is your interior? I that would really make a difference in my opinion.

Gunmetal. Black wheels get lost. The only exception is gray cars where black works best IMO.
But any other color of car, gunmetal wheels.

Yea I might change it up for gunmetal actually, if my blacks ever get damaged (god forbid) beyond repair.

I painted mine graphite and I love the way they look with the jet black. I'll post a pic for you later but it will be salty. I thought about black, but I'm really happy with how mine turned out. Doesn't hurt that it only cost me $20.

Tough decision. I run gunmetal in the winter and silver in the summer on my black sapphire metallic e92. I love them both and it's a nice change of pace throughout the year.
If you only run one set of wheels I would get gunmetal.

My wheels are powdercoated jet black, color-matched to the car. I personally like the "blackout" look, but I know it's not for everyone

Black wheels just look cheap to me. That's the color people use to cover up crappy wheels with plastidip. If you have some really cheap/damaged rims then yea black em out. If you're getting new, gold rims for sure.

My dirty car garage pics won't have anything that jet black didn't show in pictures above. I like that this color darkens the car but the wheels aren't lost in darkness. Don't get me wrong, black looks good too.

I don't know, maybe it's because I have coral red interior to offset any murdered out look- who knows- but I love it. Oh, and right now I have 18 inch stock wheels on and I'm fine with those too...well not really...thinking of powder coating them black...they are style 189. With 18"s it might look goofy...and in the winter I'll be getting salt and crap over the wheels so it just might be best to leave them stock. So what do you think cmyk?

Another interesting fact- these black 19 inch wheels were originally bought for my space Grey metallic 328 Coupe two years ago. They looked absolutely sick on SG!
Then this year I got a black sapphire metallic car and I figured what the hell why not save money on summer wheels and just reuse them? Hence where I am now for my summer set ![]()
