That's the thing. As can be seen in this thread, the responses are going to differ. No one is right, no one is wrong. We all have our opinions. OP is probably scratching his head right about now, or flipping a coin LOL

I went through the same decision (well, gunmetal vs. Silver).

I really couldn't decide so I bounced the decision off of a lot of people, both car enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts.

It was basically a 50/50 split. It came down to one comment from a non-enthusiast that was something along the lines of:

"silver is classy. The darker color makes the wheels and car look cheep. Like something a teenager would drive around with."

Personally, I like the gunmetal look, but don't think I could live with it everyday. That's why I went silver.

Just my $.02

At the end of the day it is all personal preference. There are just a lot of murdered out cars here and busted up junkers with plastidipped wheels. White out is the toughest look to maintain but looks super fancy.

I didn't know m-sport includes suspension changes, I thought it was purely cosmetic with the thicker steering wheel?
I have the full m-sport package so what does that include exactly?
Is it different for convertible and the coupe?

Makes no sense. All coupes have the sport suspension.

I vote silver or gunmetal. I do like black in some cases, but it is rare. I like black rims on a nice X5, but on the 3 series, I don't

I personally like silver because it needs the contrast.

Okay guys I ordered 19x8.5/19x9.5 2012 M5 matte black wheels. Front offset is 37, Rear is 33. This is proper fitment right? Also, I really wanted a red time attack stripe around these, I know they are made for CSL wheels but what can I do for this?

I'd say either hyper-silver or hyper-black. Both are very unusual colors that are created using a multi-step process (silver over black or black over silver, then clearcoated). They really stand out.

I can't find the weight actually. I'm guessing not much diff than most 19s in this style

Edit: I emailed the vendor of the ones I ordered and am waiting to hear back. I checked other m5 rep wheel vendors and give it an approx. 26lb per wheel which is same as the oem wheel.
