Pre-LCI Xenon to LCI Xenon Conversion

I searched aimlessly for this answer but couldn't find it.

I want to switch to LCI Bi-Xenons and already have Xenons on my pre-LCI e90. If I buy LCI Xenons, what else is required to make this work? Is is just a matter of coding, or is anything else needed?

I plan on selling my pre-LCI Xenons once converted.

For the money, I don't think it's worth the process. (Upwards of 2k) I know it involves some re-wiring and coding.

I would reccomend you get your headlights customized from a reputable vendor such as LS3, OSS, OneEighty. At the end of the day, you will have spent less, your headlights will be much more unique than everyone else's, you get high-power LED rings, and you don't have to deal with any coding/rewiring.

If you are really set on doing the LCI Xenons, well, that's the process: Coding and minor re-wiring that I am not completely aware of. User "Mapleridge" will be sure to know alot on this topic, try PMing him.

I noticed you are in michigan. My buddy lives there and he customized my headlights. Retrofitted Moriomoto xenon projectors and LED angel eyes in my headlights. Email him at

I don't believe that you need to do anything to your wiring. Perhaps coding as younhave led blinkers etc.
set of OEM lci headlights ( brand new) can be found for around 1000euro on eBay.de

Dokladnie Wojtku.

Just buy LCI headlamps, do minor coding, sometimes rewiring if you go prelci halogen to lci xenon, if xenon to xenon theres no need to do it.

Coding is necessary to code out blinkers error, disable flickering and change flash to pass from h7 to xenon shutter .

Last month i send one set of lci xenons complete ( with bulbs and ballasts , used but mint condition) to canada , 1800$ shipped

Are bulbs and ballasts needed if you're doing prelci to lci xenon?

Ballasts are different in prelci and lci but bulbs ( d1s) are the same , you just need h8 bulbs for angel eyes
