Do the KW V1's make the ride a bit more compliant on bumpy roads, in addition to helping out with the handling?

They're stiff, much more than stock suspension.

The KW V1 is a popular choice for the XDrive. My KW V3's have been installed for 3 years and they have fit the bill.

I can only speak for the ASTs, the ride is fantastic from smooth to harsh depending on how you want it dialed in.

But I'd be lying if I didn't say how annoying it was to get them. A few of us on here were promised 4-6week turn around. Lets just say it took at 4 months instead.

TC Kline are also a popular choice besides the KW. I think those are your only 3 options.

What about spring options, H&R Sport?...My thought process is to get a touch lower to meet my rim to wheel wells with the combo of the upgraded M3 rear sway bar... Will this improve the handle by much?

Yes it would but the rear sway on this car is hell, it requires dropping the subframe, so if you were gonna do that then you should change to the rear m3 subframe bushings too

Going with AST 4100's through HPAutowerks. Was set on KW V3 until Harold shined some light on the differences. Also upgrading the rear bushings that takes away the annoying squeak/misc sounds that most experience with their coil overs
