Dinan Stage 4?

Looking at the Dinan site with a friend of mine and I stumbled upon a stage 4 kit and upgraded turbos from Dinan. Wasn't there last month. 444hp / 450tq and lots of $$$. http://dinancars.com/products/?serie...e-e90&mid=1013

Yeah guys were talking about the turbos. Billet compressor on stock turbine I believe. I personally don't have a lot to say about dinan products. They are the OEM of bmw performance if you are a warrenty/dealer service person it is the only way to go. My cousins M5 is a fast ride with the dinan tune.

From their site

Benefits of the Dinan® N54 Big Compressor Turbos:

+ Upgraded, rebuilt and modified pair of turbos with a heavy duty wastegate pivot
+ Larger impeller wheel (5mm larger than stock) enabling additional boost while retaining efficiency
+ Makes over 14 PSI at 6300 RPM
+ Maximum gains: 444 HP @ 6350 RPM and 450 ft-lbs @ 3300 RPM (In S3-R configuration)
+ NO DINAN WARRANTY
+ RACING ONLY PART
+ NOT EMISSIONS LEGAL

So. If someone does this, they have no "Dinan benefit" of a warranty?

Yes. It is nothing groundbreaking. Just over priced and late to the game.

Anyone considering the Dinan turbo upgrade option should also consider looking at VTTS2 Turbo upgrades.

From the looks of it when comparing the VTTS2 with the Dinan R310 turbos the VTTS2 have alot more done to them ugprade wise than what Dinan has done

http://performance.vargasturbo.com/products/

The vargus option, there is a $309.00 core charge instead of a $2400.00 core charge by Dinan.

Your going to spend almost damn near $8k up front for those Dinan turbos. Those numbers Dinan is bragging about over 14 PSI @ 6300 RPM is nothing flatering for turbo upgrades when the same thing has been achieved on stock turbos "EFFECIENTLY"

I would be a little hesitant on the VTT S2 right now. I haven't seen any reports of working S2B2's other than from VTT directly.

In any case, I would say just keep with your stockers unless it's failing.

People with too much money that believe that Dinan is the best and only trusted BMW tuner and are scared of losing their warranty.

Yea but Dinan offers no warranty for turbo upgrades leaving the consumer with a voided warranty.

There is absolutely no benefits
