FS: Bilstein PSS10 Coilover kit
SOLD
Fits E92 all engine variants – NOT M3 -M3 E90 included. From research, it seems the kit also fits most, if not all E9x models, so if you’re interested let me know the variant (E90/91/93) + engine size and I’ll double check. Background The kit was originally purchased in Jan 2010 from Roy at CA International, the kit was subsequently fitted in late Feb 2010. History In April 2011 one of the front (nearside) dampers developed a fault, and after being fecked around by ECP, who supplied the kit to CA, both front dampers were finally replaced by Bilstein DE (under their lifetime warranty) after assistance from Bilstein UK in Leicester. The replacements, now the upgraded shocks, part no’s: 1 X F4-VM3-D164-H4 (front left) 1 X F4-VM3-D165-H4 (front right) were subsequently fitted in Aug 2011. Since that date the front shocks have covered approx 2200 miles which can be verified if required by the MOT’s. The springs are as the originals supplied and have covered approx 5,700mls. The rear shocks are the originals (part no: F4-BM5 D-166H1), and as per above also have the original springs, so have covered 5,700 mls approx. Both rear shocks were sent back to Bilstein in Dec 20102 once they had been removed from the car. One of the adjustable knobs had a broken internal part, and needed replacement, and whilst both shocks were there I had them checked over to ensure they were in full working order, and fit to sell on. The kit comes complete with everything that was original supplied, thoroughly cleaned, and where necessary I have taped together parts in the order of assembly. The original fitting instructions (which are not great) are also included. Its a very similar situation with myself. I only toyed with the idea of buying coilovers as I was scared abuot modifying lol - my first ever modifcation (apart from audio) and I chose the suspension. Anyways, a set of BC BR coilovers went up for sale the day after and I just bit the bullet and never looked back! Bilstein ones must be absolutely super duper.. every review I've read rates them highly and at that price, it's a bargain mate. I've bought of Hotcoupe as have many others on here and I can truly say he is a great guy! (Ian you can pay me later
)Anyways, BCs are very good quality and popular amongst the Jap scene predominantly so lots of reviews on Scooby forums but Bilsteins PSS10 are a bloody good coilover kit IMO. Drop it like its haaaat!

How does this kit change the ride of the car? What "settings" do you run them on, I have no idea when it comes to damper settings etc...I was looking to stop spending money on the car this year, this isn't a good start

Don't think you can change ride height on this kit, only soft and hard setting via the dail at the suspension to tune it.
But this is one of the top options of suspensions!! I would really want it too!!

If you look at Pic 1,there are two silver spanner like tools, that's what you use to adjust the height, either one way or another. The dampers, both front and rear are 10 point adjustable, and as you say,set the dampers from a soft to hard ride.

Just because I know you're all waiting for me to pop up.... Well I spent 1400 quid on some house stuff last night so I'm bolloxed.
Ian, if this is still here come payday then I'll be very interested. I'm even keen to ask you to save them for me, but in actual fact I'd kinda rather someone else got them so I don't have to spend another chunk before I even have it. Our lass is going to want something expensive before my next big purchase!! Matt |

Last time I tried that, I came back and spent far more than I envisaged! These are such a bargain! Fully adjustable (ride height and damping) top end coilover kit for that price is a bloody steal! Shame I'm on BC otherwise Ian I'd have asked for a deal given I purchased your wheel thingymajig, which by the way I have already received lots of compliments on and I'm loving it - thanks again!
