Fuse for HVAC Blower - blower intermittently works

Hello,
My HAVC blower intermittently goes in and out during extreme cold/hot weather. I replaced the blower and resistor already. Ruled them out as the culprits.

I think it may be a fuse that is contracting/expanding during the weather to cause this weird behaviour.

Which fuse only controls the fan? I only only found one fuse that controls the HVAC controls. It was a small red one. I have yet to find a fuse that I can pull that ONLY controls power to the blower.

Anybody got tips?

Yes it does. The only fan icon is the radiator fan. I cant determine which icon on the car only controls the blower.

The icons dont have descriptions, so its a guessing game.

Just an update - I replaced the battery recently (Interstate Megatron Plus) just because it was 7 yrs old. This seems to have resolved the matter. Another benefit is my sporadic RPM flux at idle has been resolved as well.

Very strange, I did not get any indication the battery was misbehaving.

Hopefully this is useful to anyone in the future.

Try this first!

Thanks to Bluskye I saved some money. I too replaced my FSR with no luck. I had the exact same problems. No fan over speed 4. All speeds working on defrost. Random times where the fan would quit while coming to stops or shifting.

After reading his post I decided to throw my trickle charger on my battery overnight. Problem fixed, at least for now. So I urge all of you who are experiencing this problem to charge your battery first. Then you will know if its a battery problem or a blower/relay problem. It may save u some money.

Thanks Bluskye!
