Redline Count/Top Speed

A friend of mine got his car coded and the they showed him a screen of the number of times he has redlined his car, and his all time max speed,

2011 e90 M3

Where would I find this? (INPA)

Thanks guys.

Sounds like something that could be read out in Tool32? Not 100% sure.

Sounds like they were using actual BMW ISTA which would absolutely have that capability.

The first section has to do with max torque, right? I don't see a count for how many times red line has been hit. The first line ("Anzahl der Begrenzungsphasen") is how many times the "limits" have been hit, 86 in this case, I assume that means any of the listed limits (rpm redline, accelerometer limits, etc.) so it gives a general indication.

And the section section has to do with max speed. The first line is "Maximum Speed" ("Maximalgeschwindigkeit"), 205 kph (~127mph) in this case.

Yes the 86 is referring to the redline limit, car had been redlined 86 times.

I know what the information means, but I can't seem to find this info in INPA, which looking at the screenshot you can clearly see is.

Maybe its a M only thing with there high tech DME module we don't have.

Does your friend have a bigger screenshot that might give a clue as to where in INPA this was found? I can plug into my M3 tomorrow and see what I can find but it seems odd that it would be limited to the M3.

Anyone ever figure this out? Trying to find it myself. Could have sworn I've seen other threads about it, but I can't find them.

I recall a thread were someone downshifted into 2nd instead of upshifting to 4th and revved to 14000 or something like that. His engine blew obviously, and BMW told him it revved up that high and this was in a 335i so...

I'm pretty sure the gearbox is storing most of this information also... I have seen that on a AT while using a ZF specific diagnostic computer. And I'm pretty sure this is stored within the FASTA mem of the car, not sure if INPA can read out FASTA... If possible it would be possible for sure with Tool32 (As this is a query client for the ECU's in essence)

By the look of the screenshot, it's the Read Freezeframe data screen from the DME.

I assume you guys mean it's in freeze frame data of the transmission module? For whatever reason I can't read the transmission, I get "Requested Control Unit: 'GS19/V1.06, GS19A/V3.01,GS19B/V4.001,GS19C/V0.010' not found. Control unit found: 'GS1912'" - probably incomplete control module data in my install.
