2007 E93 335i Build-Up Thread /w Pics
Hey so I got the car at the beginning of December and I've been modding it some. I have mostly blurry teaser pics for the time being because the car is dirty and I'll take better pics when I get it detailed. I have the JB4 G5 ISO installed. No plans for additional power mods in the near future. The clutch is already slipping a bit.

Thanks. I got some Axis Revs in 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 size. I put new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on them in sizes 235/40/18 and 265/35/18.
I like the coincidence of Axis wheels on a BMW.. Axis powers and German car :P About 8 lbs lighter per wheel and much more grip so-far I'm happy. Getting some chrome lug bolts and wheel locks soon as well as some new tire pressure sensors and non-green stem caps. |

Good work so far I would recommend spacer all around. And I hope your installing some coilovers to rock those wheels. Without a nice drop it will look off

Lol, those wheels aren't on the car they're just laying next to it. They're on the car now and look good, no spacers needed. The car is already too low and I scrape around town so no drops for me.

how hard did you have to push to make that top (from front view) BMS intake to face the other way avoiding the top cover pushing down on it (i have the same intakes)? Never seen anyone do that lol, though i feel like you are getting less air flow since it isn't directed with the stock air duct. Not 100% on the effects though so don't quote me.
And was the pic of your car on the lift an action shot...? why was your hard top slightly open lolol. ![]() ANYWAY. I love that you have the gold face for your wheels ![]() Black on gold is soooo sexy!!

The intakes were a tight squeeze, not optimal placing but it's whatever for me. My clutch already slips a bit when I push the car so I'm not concerned with power. I drive like a granny most of the time.
I dunno why they moved the top some, I wasn't around when they did it. Maybe they were just curious how it worked. Yea, I'm digging the look so far. I look totally ridiculous driving it around town. I'll have like basketball shorts, blue shirt, magenta visor and shades in a black car with gold rims. It screams, "Welcome to Florida" Part of the lowering issue is I lose about an inch of gap with the top down in the rear. So it's hard to get it just right. My front lip is already scraped up and I used to get stuck in my Subaru which was not much lower. Tallahassee is pretty hilly. |

your new shoes look nice, black+gold go really well together and IMO i think you should also throw on some spacers, but either than that..she looks good!

Plastic is plastic I reckon. They broke already so I'm getting another set for free and hoping they last longer. Few more minor cosmetic changes coming soon.

Replaced the stock side marker bulbs with chrome covered amber lights. They look really good both on and off, very clean no rice.
