Is this aftermarket not OEM? I remember seeing something like this from Australia.

Yes, that's correct, MARS is the company located in Australia.

These would be the best option for anyone who has a pre lci e90 and doesn’t want to fork out the money for a full conversion, i.e. trunk+lights.

Not that easy, you have to also replace the trunk (possibly have to paint/install + labor costs) which is hard to find, then the outers & inner LCI tail lights and then finally obtain coding.

at that point its $1000.00+

These are good alternative, I like em! glws!
